Groton School is seeking a mathematics teacher beginning in September 2025. The successful candidate will work with the guidance of experienced members of the department. Interested candidates should have a B.A. or B.S. in Mathematics or a mathematics-related field and be willing to teach the full range of high school math, from Algebra 1 through Calculus. The ability to teach higher level electives—Statistics, Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Computer Science—is a plus.
Three or more years of mathematics teaching at the high school level is preferred.
Faculty members are also expected to contribute to the extracurricular life of the school and share some dormitory and residential school responsibilities. Qualifications, therefore, include a demonstrated interest in coaching or coordinating extracurricular activities and a willingness to fulfill evening and weekend duties.
Teachers are provided with meals in the school Dining Hall, most utilities, and medical insurance.
