We are looking for an experienced and passionate Instructional Designer to join our team. In this role, you will design and develop engaging and effective training materials, programs, courses, and assessments aimed at improving the operation and service of heavy equipment. Your work will directly impact the success of both internal teams and external customers. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with subject matter experts to assess training needs and identify target audiences.
Conduct research and analysis to understand the learners and the contexts in which they will apply the training.
Organize and maintain project documentation and course materials.
Set clear learning objectives and develop content that aligns with them.
Design interactive learning activities, assignments, and assessments.
Analyze training needs to ensure all required knowledge, skills, and competencies are covered.
Develop instructional strategies and learning plans tailored to specific audiences and training goals.
Work closely with stakeholders and experts to create customized training solutions.
Write and edit instructional content such as blueprints, storyboards, video scripts, job aids, and other learning materials.
Design and develop blended learning solutions that may include instructor-led sessions, eLearning, mobile learning, video, gamification, simulations, micro-learning, and virtual classrooms.
Ensure all training materials adhere to branding and quality standards.
Incorporate innovative assessments and sustainment tools to support learners before and after training sessions.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Offer guidance on course content, delivery methods, and media choices.
Provide input for New Product service and operation training programs.
Lead the enhancement and innovation of curriculum, staying current with industry trends, new technologies, and available resources.
Review and update content to ensure it meets development standards and industry best practices.
Maintain and update the Learning Management System (LMS), web delivery platforms, mobile apps, and other training tools.
Promote a positive company image through professional and supportive interactions with colleagues, customers, and leadership.
What We're Looking For:
A Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field with at least 2 years of experience, or 5+ years of relevant instructional design experience.
Proven experience in creating instructional content for web-based delivery.
Familiarity with blended eLearning solutions and designing courses for a Learning Management System.
Proficiency in authoring tools like Adobe Captivate and Articulate 360.
Experience with LMS platforms such as Absorb, Docebo, Raven360, and LearnUpon.
Strong ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment, with a focus on high standards of quality and innovation.
Flexibility to adapt in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
A self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and take ownership of tasks.
A passion for learning, research, and staying up-to-date with the latest trends in instructional design.
Strong writing, communication, and critical thinking skills.
A strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.
