About the Position: As a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, you will work remotely, supporting students with visual impairments in a virtual classroom setting. You will design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), providing virtual instruction and collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure each student receives the support they need.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement personalized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments, using adaptive teaching techniques in a remote environment.
Provide virtual instruction in orientation and mobility, along with other essential adaptive skills tailored to each student's needs.
Work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to address students' vision-related challenges and ensure progress.
Stay informed about the latest assistive technologies, incorporating them into online lessons to enhance learning.
Create a supportive and inclusive online learning environment, fostering confidence and engagement among visually impaired students.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) in Kentucky.
A deep understanding of visual impairments and how they affect learning.
At least 2 years of experience teaching students with visual impairments.
Proficiency in using Zoom and other digital platforms for teaching.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.

Position Details:

Full-time, remote role.
Immediate start available.
Caseload: 5 students.
