Description

Betches Media is seeking a talented and creative Freelance Content Creator to support the growth of our thriving Betches Sports account. If your Sundays revolve around RedZone, you avidly follow players (and their families…and dogs) on social media, and your mornings are fueled by a queue of sports podcasts, this role could be for you.

We’re looking for someone with a keen understanding of how women consume sports content, who lives and breathes online culture. The sports news cycle never stops, and this person will stay ahead of the biggest moments in sports, translating them into sharp, hilarious posts that resonate with the Betches Sports audience. A strong grasp of short-form video trends is a must, as this role will require fresh, creative ideas to adapt popular formats to the sports world.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and independent thinker with a passion for crafting engaging, shareable content. They’ll have a strong understanding of the Betches voice, a sharp sense of humor, a deep love for all things sports, and polished skills in copywriting and social media design. This role reports to the Senior Content Manager, Sports.

• Develop and pitch original content ideas, including videos, TikToks, memes, and other engaging formats for our Betches Sports Instagram account
• Stay up to date on emerging social media trends and experiment with new content formats and series
• Monitor trending sports stories and brainstorm humorous, on-brand ways to cover them
• Be available evenings and weekends to cover major events as needed
• Support preparation for larger sports-related projects, podcasts, and initiatives

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in content creation & social media (including internship experience, sports experience strongly preferred)
• Familiarity and strong enthusiasm for the Betches brand and sports culture
• Understanding of and ability to write in brand voice and tone, as well as excellent written and communication skills
• Proficiency in Canva
• Fast-learner who can quickly spot trends and adapt to ever-changing social landscape
• Quick, creative thinker and idea contributor willing to take initiative and hit the ground running
• Strong eagerness to learn and grow
• Experience with on-camera videos and editing
• Independent learner with a solution-oriented mindset

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $25/hour for 10 hours per week.
