Catholic Theology Teacher - Full Time, 10 months Salary Range $35,000 - $40,000

SUMMARY:

Notre Dame Junior-Senior High School is a co-educational Catholic high school dedicated to fostering academic excellence, spiritual growth, and personal development in its students. We offer a supportive and faith-based environment where students are empowered to reach their full potential. Our theology department plays a vital role in providing students with a strong foundation in Catholic faith and doctrine. We are seeking a qualified and passionate Catholic Theology teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching theology courses to junior and senior high school students, fostering their spiritual growth and intellectual development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and implement comprehensive theology curricula aligned with Catholic teachings and the school's mission. Teach a variety of theology courses, including Introduction to Theology, Scripture Studies, Church History, and Moral Theology. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes spiritual growth and critical thinking. Use effective teaching methods and strategies to engage students in the study of theology. Assess student learning and provide appropriate feedback. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student success. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current in the field of theology education. Integrate Catholic values and teachings into the curriculum and classroom environment. Serve as a role model for students, demonstrating a deep commitment to Catholic faith and practice.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A faithful, practicing Catholic in good standing. Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field or a Master's in Education with catechetical experience. Experience teaching theology to junior and senior high school students. Strong understanding of Catholic theology and doctrine. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences. Commitment to Catholic values and the mission of a Catholic high school.
