Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide virtual support and instruction to students with visual impairments. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, offering you the chance to work closely with a small caseload of five students to help them thrive in their educational journey.

What You'll Do

Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of visually impaired students.
Use adaptive teaching methods to deliver engaging virtual lessons and support student learning.
Provide online instruction in orientation, mobility, and essential adaptive skills to enhance independence.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to address each student's vision-related needs.
Stay informed about the latest assistive technologies and integrate them into online lessons effectively.
Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging online learning environment.

What We're Looking For

Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) in Kentucky.
A strong understanding of how visual impairments affect learning and the ability to adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
At least two years of experience teaching students with visual impairments.
Proficiency with virtual platforms such as Zoom and other digital tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, families, and colleagues.
