Position Overview
This full-time position is available for an immediate start and is perfect for an individual passionate about empowering visually impaired students to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of visually impaired students through remote learning platforms.
Provide instruction in orientation, mobility, and adaptive skills in a virtual environment.
Collaborate closely with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the vision-related needs of each student are met.
Stay current with advancements in assistive technologies and incorporate them into lessons to enhance student learning.
Cultivate an inclusive and supportive online learning environment to help visually impaired students thrive.

Qualifications

Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) with current certification in the state of Virginia.
Strong understanding of the impact of visual impairments on learning and effective teaching strategies to address them.
Proficiency with Zoom and other online technologies to deliver seamless instruction.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, families, and team members.
