Position Summary
Sinai Akiba Academy is seeking qualified K-8 substitute teachers for the 2024-2025 academic year. A substitute teacher supervises and teaches students in the event that their regular teacher is unable to lead class. This position requires availability to accept assignments when scheduled in advance or, occasionally, at the last minute. The ideal candidate is responsive and will demonstrate: responsibility, safe management of students, emotional intelligence, a growth mindset, self-motivation, positive energy, strong interpersonal skills, a service-oriented and team approach to work, approachability, flexibility, and clear communication skills.
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field and should have previous teaching experience.
Some of the substitute teacher’s duties and responsibilities will include:
Hourly Rate Range: $25.00 - $35.00
