Job Description and Duties

The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) in the Student Housing Unit of the College Finance and Facilities Planning Division provides analytical and administrative support to help California Community Colleges meet student housing needs through the development of affordable student housing. The AGPA researches, compiles, and analyzes program and project data; prepares reports, correspondence, and recommendations; and assists with program documentation and compliance. The position coordinates with community college districts, internal staff, and other stakeholders to track housing project progress and ensure program requirements are met. By supporting the planning and implementation of student housing initiatives, the AGPA helps expand access to safe, affordable housing for students.

Employee must reside in CA for a job appointment. 

This position has a hybrid work setting, including telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on the Chancellor’s Office’s evolving telework policy. The Chancellor’s Office supports telework, recognizing that in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to the headquarters office in Sacramento if an urgent need arises.

Working Conditions

Ability to use a computer workstation and office machines for an extended period of time. 

Work in a climate-controlled, open office environment under artificial lighting.

Exposure to computer screens and other basic office equipment.

Periodic presentations will be required.

Ability to effectively work in a hybrid work setting within the state of CA.

  1. Experience performing analytical work such as researching, compiling, and interpreting data to support program or project decisions.
  2. Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence, and summaries for management or external stakeholders.
  3. Experience coordinating projects or programs involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Knowledge of state administrative processes including recordkeeping, compliance tracking, or grant/program documentation.
  5. Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  6. Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with colleagues, management, and external partners.
  7. Skill in using Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) to produce professional work products and manage data.
