Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Substitute Teacher to provide support in the Spanish classroom. As a substitute, you will follow the regular teacher's lesson plans, ensuring a smooth continuation of the learning process. Your role will involve creating a safe, engaging, and productive environment for students while maintaining classroom routines and overseeing student behavior. This position requires flexibility, as there are no guaranteed weekly hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Classroom Management: Arrive at the school and check in with the front desk or administrative assistant upon arrival. Maintain classroom routines and create a positive, focused learning environment for students.
Lesson Delivery: Follow the teacher's prepared lesson plans and use the school's curriculum to guide instruction in the Spanish language.
Student Supervision: Ensure student behavior is managed effectively during classroom activities and other school events, creating a respectful and productive atmosphere.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance and any other required documentation.
Technology Utilization: Be able to operate remote teaching tools as needed (e.g., Google Classroom, Zoom, Infinite Campus) to support both in-person and virtual students.
Communication: Collaborate with the regular teacher and school administration, providing feedback as necessary and ensuring that communication is clear and effective.
Other Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall functioning of the school.

Qualifications:

A "Substitute Teacher Authorization" from the Colorado Department of Education is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with educational technology tools such as Google Classroom, Zoom, and Infinite Campus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with students and staff in a professional manner.
Flexibility and adaptability to different classroom settings.
