Description The JF Petroleum Group stands as a premier leader in the North American fueling infrastructure industry, offering comprehensive turn-key solutions for distribution, construction, and service needs. We serve a diverse clientele including retail fueling stations, commercial and government fleets, and emergency power customers.
Description: This role will focus on general accounting, month-end closing processes, and ASC606/POC Accounting. This role is also a key player for annual external financial accounting audits. The role will interact with Directors across all entities to ensure ASC606 and accounting is aligned to US GAAP.
Responsibilities: - Support month-end closing
- Prepare reconciliations and journal entries for month/quarter/year end close
- Prepare monthly POC calculation
- Support during annual audits with ASC606, revenue, and COGS
- Monthly internal report preparation and distribution
- Work with Directors to review accuracy of POC
- Assist in training new and existing staff members to enhance and develop their skill sets
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and reporting enhancements
- Ability to work in teams and support cross functional partners
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures
- Other tasks and projects as assigned
Requirements - Minimum of 5 years’ experience as Staff or Senior Accountant
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required
- Experience with Microsoft, Concur & Sage 100 Contractor a plus
- Experience with ASC 606 & POC Accounting preferred
- Must have the ability to make sound business decisions supporting company objectives
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skill and the ability to explain accounting lingo to others
- A drive to understand the “why” behind a process or transaction
- Physical Requirements: include occasional lifting/carrying of 10 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
