Responsibilities:

Maintaining strict confidentiality with case information, the Response Team & Case Management Coordinator is primarily responsible for ensuring case files and data are in compliance and ensuring accuracy and completeness of updates and maintenance of the case management system, which tracks all complaints of discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual violence reported to the Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity.
Response Team & Case Management Coordinator also manages campus reporting to UC Office the President related to department cases. Performs trend analysis of cases received and identify areas of concern. Prepares statistical reports on discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual violence and coordinates and facilitates meetings of the Case Management Team and Incident Response Team (IRT). Develops, implements, and provides materials and support for outreach and education initiatives related to discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual violence prevention.
Develops, implements and administers compliance policies, procedures and practices. Develops employee communication and manages compliance training. Ensures alignment with federal and state laws, and University policies and procedures. May provide advice and direction to other compliance professionals, as appropriate. Normally receives general instructions on routine work with detailed instruction on new or more complex assignments.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $85,400- $91,140 (Annual).

  • Ability to gather, organize, complete analysis and develop recommendations in the completion of assignments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups. Skills in coalescing viewpoints and facilitating outcomes in group settings. Ability to work effectively with populations that are diverse in characteristics such age, education level, race, gender identity and expression, socioeconomic backgrounds.   • Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner both in writing and verbally.
  • Skill to manage complex electronic case management system in office with heavy caseload and high data volume.
  • Skill to logically comprehend, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Ability to use data to generate clear and concise reports to assist Management in identifying and responding to patterns and trends.
  • Experience in basic statistical methods (means, percentages, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail; ability to evaluate data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ability to seek and gather information from a variety of sources.
  • Sound judgment to protect privacy and confidentiality in office dealing with highly-sensitive information.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and contribute both as an individual and a team member to achieve the goals of the department.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • 3-5 years experience.


Preferred:

  • Thorough knowledge of ethics and compliance profession, theories and systems of internal control, and professional compliance and investigations standards. Familiarity with best practices and methodologies by investigators to conduct investigations. Experience in providing support to investigators or as a paralegal in a law firm.
  • Broad knowledge of University ethics and compliance policies, procedures and programs. Basic knowledge of issues related to sexual harassment in the postsecondary setting. Basic understanding of the relevance of trauma in the context of sexual violence. Familiarity with best practices and methodologies by investigators to conduct investigations.
  • Applies thorough ethics and compliance concepts and applications in the completion of assignments. Skills in problem-solving. Experience in responding to and maintaining compliance with external regulatory requirements. Experience in working with complaint handling and preventive trainings.
