Sign-On Bonus for Bilingual Applicants : $1,500 (Distributed in 3 parts: $500 after 30 days, $500 after 6 months, and $500 after 12 months of employment)
The language bonus applies to client-facing positions and will be awarded upon successful completion of the language test.

How can you make a difference in people’s lives?
We are seeking a Recovery Coach passionate about working with a diverse community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for serving diverse communities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver culturally competent services.

As a Recovery Coach for our Cherry Hill Detoxification program, you will play an important role in supporting our clients in recovery from substance use disorders (SUD). You will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate, and motivator to recovering individuals to help prevent relapses, promote long-term recovery, connect them to resources, and keep them engaged in treatment once discharged from Cherry Hill. Additionally, as a Recovery Coach you will provide case management services to those in early recovery to help clients overcome barriers (transportation, housing, etc.) to engage in outpatient services and help them navigate the Drug Medi-Cal (DMC) SUD system of care in Alameda County.

What will make you successful in this role?
  • Strong knowledge of the Alameda County SUD system of care and other community support services/programs
  • Previous experience working with Substance Use and Mental Health Disorders
  • Skilled and trained in Motivational Interviewing
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care and Harm Reduction principles
  • Knowledge of multi-tiered programs (Electronic Health Records) and Microsoft Office
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
 
What else is required?
  • Basic academic knowledge and understanding of Substance Use
  • Case Management experience preferred
  • Demonstrated competency in using technology
  • Registration or Certification with Substance Use state certifying body in California (CAADE/CCAPP/CADTP)
  • Valid California driver’s license with a good driving record and car insurance
  • Current CPR/First Aid certificates are desirable
  • Background/drug testing required at time of hire
  • Preferred: Bilingual in English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, or Tagalog
