Project Manager Clearance Required: **Must have an active Secret Clearance** Position Description: Network Runners is seeking a
Project Manager to support the
Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Inspector General (OIG). DHS (OIG) conducts and supervises independent audits, investigations, and inspections of the programs and operations of DHS, and recommends ways for DHS to carry out its responsibilities in the most effective, efficient, and economical manner possible. The Office of Management (OM) Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO) is responsible for acquiring and maintaining all technological hardware and software utilized by OIG personnel.
This position is located at DHS OIG HQ – 395 E St. SW, Washington DC 20024.
Duties & Responsibilities: - Organizing, directing, and managing multiple, complex and interrelated IT projects.
- Manage teams of project support personnel and interface with senior OIG leadership, including the CIO.
- Overall management of multiple IT projects and ensuring that the technical solutions and schedules in the projects are implemented in a timely manner.
- Meet with OCIO customers and staff to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items, ensure conformance with program task schedules and costs, establish and maintain technical and financial reports to show progress of projects to management and customers, and oversee the successful completion of all assigned tasks.
- Work cohesively with the Contracting Officer (CO), IT support staff, customers, and senior leadership.
Position Requirements: - Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Project Manager for a Federal Agency and/or a bachelor’s degree, or higher, in an IT- or business-related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project software.
- Experience providing project briefs to senior executives.
- Experience implementing or working with Agile/Agile-Hybrid methodologies in the public sector.
