Job Description



AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity to join our team of professionals as a Project Accountant in either Indianapolis, IN or Chicago, IL. This position allows for hybrid work as approved by management.

  • Supports moderately complex project(s), working under general supervision. 
  • Prepares various financial reports and provides analysis and recommendations based on findings. 
  • Requires a proven ability to apply professional concepts in a productive, consistent manner. Maintains records according to generally accepted accounting practices. 
  • Performs audits and generates special financial reports. 
  • Reviews projects for accurate revenue recognition and provides project analysis and recommendations based on findings.
  • Matrixed environment, reports to local Project Executive and Regional Controller.

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS relevant curriculum and 2 years of accounting experience or A/AS and 4 years of relevant experience or HSD/GED and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience in construction accounting.
  • Experience with construction financial documentation.
  • Strong Excel experience.
  • CMiC or Textura experience is preferred.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency.

  • This position is located either in Chicago or Indianapolis and can work remotely in those areas as approved by management.
