Additional Position Details: FTE: 0.000001 | On Call | Variable Schedule Days For this role, we will consider candidates at either the Patient Service Rep 1 or Patient Service Rep 2 levels for this position. Requirements for each level noted below. Salary is based on years of relevant experience and level of position.
Salary Patient Service Rep 1- starting wage is $17.00-$23.37 per hour, depending on years of experience
Patient Service Rep 2- starting wage is $18.10-$24.89 per hour, depending on years of experience
Position Summary Under general supervision, the
Patient Service Rep II performs a variety of support functions for a department and/or program. Duties may include all or part of the following: Greeting, instructing, directing patients and visitors; scheduling, registering, and obtaining preauthorization for treatment from insurance, Medicare, or other agencies for patients; serving as liaison between patient and medical support staff; functioning as cashier, receptionist and referral clerk as well as maintaining records and completing data entry; monitoring office services and supplies. The Patient Service Rep II will ensure all provider schedules are appropriately populated, telephones are responded to according to established protocols, and complete registration information is captured prior to, or during each patient visit. Collaborative interaction with patients, physicians, other staff members and management, patient satisfaction and accurate processing of all front-end functions are integral to the success of this position.
Qualifications Required experience for the Patient Service Rep 1 level:
- Previous clerical, administrative, healthcare, or customer service experience, or equivalent education.
Required Experience For The Patient Service Rep 2 Level - Minimum 2 years of relevant front-desk customer related experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
