Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Package/Mail Screener to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient screening of incoming and outgoing packages and mail in accordance with company policies and security protocols. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and screen packages and mail for prohibited or hazardous materials using specialized equipment.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
• Document and report any irregularities or security concerns.
• Sort and distribute mail/packages to appropriate departments or individuals.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of all screened items.
• Operate screening equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist in maintaining a secure and organized mailroom environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in mail/package screening, logistics, or security is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify anomalies or suspicious items.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with screening equipment and tools is a plus.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
