OUR MISSION
Goodwill Industries of Tulsa, Inc. provides work opportunities, job training and support services for people with disabilities or other employment barriers.

JOB SUMMARY
Performs maintenance on buildings, fixtures, equipment, lighting, and machinery at various locations. Operates equipment including but not limited to mower, scissor lift and forklift. Performs maintenance on heating and air-conditioning units. Maintains records of work performed. Drives vehicle in execution of duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs minor plumbing, electrical and mechanical inspections, maintenance and repairs.
  • Assists in construction and moving equipment and fixtures.
  • Secures supplies and materials needed.
  • Operates equipment including mowers, trimmer, baler, forklift, scissor lift, power tools and pallet jack.
  • Drives vehicle for delivery, pick-up or for the performance of preventive maintenance.
  • Records safety inspection, maintenance and repair data.
  • Reviews and is familiar with Company safety policies, programs and procedures.
  • Adheres to all safety rules, regulations and safety codes, and attends safety training sessions and safety meetings.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have three (3) years of experience.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing and carpentry required. Mechanical Journeyman's License preferred.
  • Experience working with heating and air-conditioning units preferred. Welding experience preferred.

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must wear sturdy work boots; steel-toed optional.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License, with a good driving record.
  • Must be eligible for positive outcome on required State of Oklahoma criminal conviction background check.
  • Must maintain appropriate requirements for legal vehicle operation including current automobile insurance and license plates.
  • Successfully passing pre-employment drug test and must maintain compliance with Goodwill’s Drug and Alcohol Abuse Policy.
  • Goodwill considers this a safety sensitive position because it includes tasks or duties that Goodwill reasonably believes could affect the safety and health of the employee or others.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Climbing, balancing, talking, hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, seeing, depth perception and color vision.
  • Lifting/Carrying/Pushing/Pulling: Heavy work-Lifting 100 lbs. maximum two-man lift,and lift 50 lbs. maximum, one-man lift, with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25bs.
