Cognizant is a large IT consulting firm that leverages modern technologies to transform businesses. We are seeking a **Logistics Analyst** to join our growing team. This role is fully onsite in **Palo Alto, CA** . Only local candidates that don't require relocation will be considered. **About The Role** You will work on a team with other logistics analysts to move material in support of program teams. This is a fast paced, innovative, collaborative environment and this Logistics role is in the critical path for most of what we do. **Who We Are Looking For** The logistics analysts we are looking for are self-motivated and can manage their workloads independently. They will be comfortable working in an office connected to a hardware lab. The right candidate will be process driven, system level thinker, curious about learning new things and have the ability to push themselves beyond expectations. **Duties & Responsibilities** + Manage shipment requests for domestic and international orders and provide status updates to relevant stakeholders through delivery + Work with the trade compliance team and 3PLs to ensure all international shipments comply with export/import regulations + Facilitate the packaging and labeling of dangerous goods for air shipment + Assist with equipment forecasting, local inventory management, and distribution + Helpdesk support via ticketing system (similar to Zendesk) + Work with Field Technicians to meet repair deadlines with necessary approvals, equipment availability and shipping **Required Qualifications:** + A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, a Bachelor's is preferred + Knowledge of international shipping procedures and documents, including the role and purpose of commercial invoices + Prior professional experience in logistics + Expert knowledge of: Forward, Reverse, and Third-Party Logistics (3PL) workflows, Commercial invoice forms, SLI's, packing list, shipper's export declarations + Working knowledge of: FedEx Ship Manager, DHL Import/Export Portals, Tariff classifications, import duties and tax assessments + Familiarity with Manufacturing and assembly documentation (BOM, drawings), PLM software and Temporary Importations + Excellent analytical and organization skills + Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English) + Desire to work in a fast-paced environment **Salary and Other Compensation:** The hourly rate for this position is between $31.25 - $38.46 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
