Job Description

We’re partnering with a full-service global law firm located in Nashville in their search for a Litigation Legal Assistant to join their growing team. In this role, you will provide high-level administrative and organizational support to multiple litigation attorneys, ensuring the smooth and efficient management of legal cases. Your responsibilities will include document preparation, case coordination, scheduling, and communication with clients and court officials. Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence.
  • Assist in preparing and finalizing trial materials, including exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
  • File legal documents electronically or manually with state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
  • Maintain and update attorneys’ litigation calendars, including court deadlines, hearings, depositions, and client meetings.
  • Monitor and calculate court deadlines, ensuring timely filing of documents.
  • Assist in organizing discovery materials, including document production and interrogatories.
  • Conduct basic legal research and compile information for attorneys using online and internal resources.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive client information during the discovery process.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of litigation or transactional experience, preferably supporting multiple attorneys in a mid-sized to large law firm or similar setting.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with legal document management software, such as iManage.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, processes, and protocols.

Work Environment:

  • Four work from home days per month
  • Professional, collaborative office environment focused on high-stakes legal work.
  • Occasional overtime may be required.
