Lead Data Engineer Description

We are looking for a dedicated and innovative Lead Data Engineer to join our team and spearhead the development and optimization of our data engineering processes.

This role involves implementing cutting-edge data solutions, ensuring that data flows efficiently throughout our systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement data sources integration using API and files-based approaches
• Develop and optimize data intake processes including ETL/ELT, DWH modeling, and optimization
• Execute data mapping and model implementations in DWH
• Orchestrate data flow processes
• Implement BQ reports
• Develop and maintain CDC strategies

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python scripting with 5+ years of experience
• Knowledge of Engineering Excellence (EngX) principles in daily tasks
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery or similar DBMS and SQL
• Background in GCP, CloudComposer, and other data-related cloud technologies
• Expertise in implementing ETL/ELT processes
• Understanding of Data Platform components and layers including Data Intake, Storage/DWH, BI
• Core engineering skills including versioning, CI/CD, quality assurance, and automated testing
• Good command of English

Nice to have

• Flexibility to use various scripting languages
• Competency in additional DBMS platforms
• Qualifications in advanced data modeling techniques
