Eaton's IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Inspector III. The hourly rate for this position is $30.00 per hour. The hours for first shift are as follows; 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. **What you'll do:** Primary Function: + Performs visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using precision mechanical and limited electrical testing methods to ensure all tested items meet the required specifications and quality standards. Essential Functions: + Performs detailed dimensional inspections using advanced measurement equipment such as CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), X-ray, and N-ray interpretation. + Utilizes standard equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, hardness testers, optical comparators, and coordinate measuring systems. + Reviews mechanical drawings and verifies tolerances according to ASME Y14.5 GD&T principles. + Works with industry standards and Control Chart interpretation for quality assurance. + Identifies and communicates defects or deviations from specifications to production supervisors. + Measures and interprets threads using Fed. Std. H28 and the Machinist Handbook. + Generates and assists in corrective/preventive action reports and non-conforming material analysis. + Ensures compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and company quality requirements. **Qualifications:** Basic Qualifications: + High School diploma or equivalent. + Minimum of 3-5 years of mechanical inspection experience in aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing. + Experience with CMM programming and operation. + Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection reporting. + Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) + Knowledge of electrical functions and ability to interpret test results. + Must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience in first article reports AS9102 & advanced mechanical drawings. + Expertise in dimensional inspection using CMM, X-ray, and N-ray techniques. + Strong knowledge of ANSI Y14.5-1982 or ASME Y14.5-2009 GD&T. + Familiarity with digital inspection tools and software. + Experience with X-ray and N-ray interpretation for defect analysis \#IND123 \#LI-SB2 **Skills:** Career Advancement: - Next Level: Quality Engineer - Requirements for Promotion: 5+ years of experience, advanced metrology skills, and leadership in quality assurance processes, Engineering bachelor's degree.
