Cumming location Dental Office looking for a candidate (Starting at $15-20/hr, but can be much higher based on skills) with EXCEPTIONAL customer service and communication background immediately.

We are looking for someone who Is willing to learn to be both an assistant and administrator with our dental family. Great opportunity for growth in future. No direct dental experience needed, but it is a plus! Part time or full time can be discussed. You will be cross-trained for both front desk and back office roles.

Job Details: 

• The Surgical Assistant is receiving patients, viewing charts and beginning patient preparation. 
• Often the assistant will make notes about performed procedures, progress, recommendations and other subjects in the patient's charts. 
• Surgical assistants must ensure that surgical tools are properly cleaned and sterilized before procedures begin. 
• Working with x-rays is common, as is processing items such as removable dental appliances and casts or impressions. 
• Surgical assistants do not perform any actual surgery upon patients, but they may be responsible for tasks such as checking vital signs or maintaining IV fluid flows during procedures.
• Above all, the surgical dental assistant will assist the doctor in ensuring clinical success for our patients.

Responsibilities Include:

• Verification of insurance eligibility and coverage.
• Answering Phones and scheduling patients for consultation and surgical appointments.
• Ensuring that all patient intake forms are completed prior to patient appointments.
• Communication with referral partners regarding clinical cases.
• A bright and warm personality as a member of our practice!
