Job Description

Primary Talent Partners has a 2 year contract opening for a Financial Operations Specialist to join a multinational banking client for a hybrid position operating out of Denver, CO.

Pay: $42.00/hr - $47.00/hr
Contract : 2 years, conversion possible
Type: W-2, cannot support C2C or provide visa sponsorship
Hybrid: Onsite 3 days per week. 

Responsibilities:
  • Will handle daily processing of derivative and fixed income trade activity, including checking and verifying reconciliation reports and manual trade entries. Work closely with Fund Accounting and Portfolio Accounting to resolve any derivative and fixed income related discrepancies with counterparties and custodians.
  • Verify that the security masters on fixed income holdings are accurate and reconcile against various sources.
  • Ensure that all income and position based transactions are booked accurately and timely
  • Perform time-critical functions daily, which require gathering and verifying information from various sources in a fast-paced and high volume environment.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of assigned operational function by analyzing custody and third-party data against accounting system data.
  • Review, analyze, and resolve any pricing exceptions on a daily basis to ensure accuracy and completeness in the security valuation process in a timely manner.
  • Researches and resolves a variety of issues that may be complex in nature.
  • Promote an energized and engaged environment
  • Partner with colleagues overseas to ensure cohesive global operating model
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
  • 1 - 3 years related financial industry experience
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and drive solutions
  • Strong interest and willingness to learn in the financial services industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Track record of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to identify and prioritize tasks appropriately
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 40 ACT mutual fund experience (back or middle office operations preferred)
  • Working knowledge of various security types; equity, debt, private instruments, derivatives, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver timely and accurate results in a high-pressure environment.
