About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Collections Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will assist patients in resolving outstanding medical bills while providing excellent customer service. Your ability to communicate clearly, handle sensitive financial discussions, and problem-solve will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

Make outbound and take inbound calls from patients regarding outstanding balances.

Explain insurance coverage, deductibles, copays, and other billing-related details to patients.

Address patient concerns, de-escalate difficult situations, and provide solutions in a professional and courteous manner.

Facilitate payment plans or collect payments in full as appropriate.

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with company policies.

Qualifications:

2+ years of collections experience.

2+ years of customer service experience.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle sensitive financial discussions with empathy and professionalism.

Proficiency with computer systems and ability to learn new software.

Compensation:

Pay Rate: $20.32 per hour.

Schedule & Work Environment:

Training: 60 days of onsite training in Brooklyn Center, working closely with a Senior Collector, Team Lead, or Supervisor.

Remote Work: After training, this role will transition to a fully remote position, with occasional in-office team days.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (availability required until 6:00 PM on Mondays or Tuesdays).

Equipment Provided: Necessary equipment will be supplied for remote work.
