Position Summary Can/Am is looking for a Chief Technology Officer with proven experience operating as a level 5 CTO (based on the CTO Levels framework ) to drive the next phase of innovation and scalability for Can/Am.
As the CTO, you will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for setting and executing the technology vision of Can/Am Technologies and working closely with the CEO. You will lead the transformation of our product development processes, scale our technology infrastructure, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Your focus will be on driving strategic initiatives that align with business growth, enhancing our product delivery capabilities, and implementing data-driven decision-making practices across the organization.
This is an ideal opportunity for a Level 5 who excels in implemented strategic vision, technical leadership, and business alignment.
Qualifications - Proven experience as a Level 5 CTO (CTO Levels) or similar executive technology leadership role in a high-growth SaaS environment.
- Strong track record of scaling technology organizations and implementing process improvements, including CICD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud infrastructure modernization.
- Demonstrated experience in building and evolving scalable processes and frameworks that enhance team efficiency and organizational capability.
- Proven ability to lead teams through growth phases by fostering a culture of continuous learning, adaptability, and operational excellence.
- Deep knowledge in modern tech stacks, data strategy, and analytics, with experience leading tech stack evaluation and modernization.
- Demonstrated success in building customer-centric product teams and integrating systematic feedback mechanisms into the product development lifecycle.
- Exceptional strategic vision, with the ability to align technology initiatives with long-term business goals and drive transformative growth.
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with experience fostering collaboration and mentoring high-performing, diverse teams.
- Experience overseeing the technology budget to ensure efficient resource allocation and alignment with business objectives.
- Able to travel to our Canadian office periodically to connect, collaborate, lead/mentor and drive effective engagement with the team in Canada.
- Knowledge and experience with AWS solutions and security

Key Goals and Success Criteria Strategic Vision & Leadership - Define and execute a long-term technology strategy that aligns with the company’s growth objectives, balancing immediate client needs with strategic product innovation.
- Act as a key business partner to the CEO and executive team, translating technology initiatives into measurable business outcomes.
- Lead the transformation of the Technology functions within Can/Am
Drive Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement: - Develop and implement scalable processes that support operational efficiency, foster collaboration, and streamline delivery.
- Embrace a culture of continuous learning by ensuring teams regularly adopt best practices, tools, and methodologies to evolve their capabilities.
- Lead initiatives to evaluate and refine workflows, fostering an environment of adaptability and improvement to keep pace with the company’s growth.
- Build a feedback-driven approach to operational improvement, leveraging insights from retrospectives, performance metrics, and team input.
- Oversee the evaluation and modernization of the existing tech stack, reducing technical debt and enhancing scalability.
- Drive the implementation of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD) pipelines and expand automated testing to streamline the software development lifecycle.
- Provide architectural oversight to ensure the design of scalable, secure, and efficient systems that align with the company’s long-term technical vision.
- Actively guide the evaluation, selection, and implementation of technologies to modernize the tech stack, reduce technical debt, and enhance system performance.
- Lead monthly architecture planning sessions, ensuring alignment between long-term technical decisions and business goals.
Customer-Centric Product Development - Proven track record in leading both Product and Engineering teams.
- Ability to align product vision and technology execution to drive cohesive, customer-focused development strategies.
- Extensive experience in delivering highly configurable SaaS solutions, tailored to meet diverse client needs and seamlessly integrated into complex client environments for maximum flexibility and impact.
- Develop a client-first culture, integrating systematic feedback mechanisms into the product planning process.
- Standardize MVP development and scope management processes to prevent scope creep and ensure focused, efficient product releases.
- Establish and lead a dual-track product roadmap that balances client-driven projects with long-term strategic initiatives.
Data Strategy & Analytics - Lead the evolution of the company’s data strategy, implementing automated data pipelines and robust data validation processes.
- Integrate analytics-driven reviews into strategic planning meetings, ensuring data insights are central to decision-making across the business.
- Enhance data utilization to inform product decisions, improve forecasting, and drive business insights.
