Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Bilingual Legal Assistant to join our team, primarily focusing on immigration deportation defense cases.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and organize client information and documents.
• Prepare motions and filings for immigration court.
• Perform records requests.
• Provide support to attorneys and paralegals in case management and preparation.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all documents are up to date.
• Communicate with clients in both English and Spanish.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a law office.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Excellent computer skills, including typing and experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic.
• Creative problem-solver with a compassionate approach.
• Friendly demeanor and strong work ethic.

Salary and Benefits:

• Starting at $21/hr (higher wage possible based upon experience).
• Full-time position, 40 hours per week, in person.
• Paid time off, sick leave, health insurance, life insurance, and retirement plan with 3% match after a 60-day probationary period.
