Position Details
Title: Part-Time Faculty (Remote)
Classification: Adjunct, Temporary, Exempt
Compensation: $1,200 per credit hour
Department: Academics
Division: Academic Affairs
Reports To: Director of Applied Studies or Director of Arts and Sciences (depending on discipline)
Supervises: Not applicable
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for a faculty position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
A Master's degree in the specific discipline or sub-field
OR
A Master's degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in the subject area
OR
A Master's degree in a related field with 6 graduate hours in the subject area AND at least two years or four academic terms of experience teaching at the college level or teaching AP courses at the secondary level
OR
At least five years of teaching experience at the secondary level (grades 7-12) in the subject area AND a valid professional teaching license recognized by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Technology & Physical Requirements
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to follow guidelines and instructions.
Comfort using technology tools necessary for teaching, including video conferencing and online learning platforms.
Teaching Format & Schedule
Courses are delivered live via Microsoft Teams at scheduled times, ensuring real-time interaction between instructors and students.
Course materials, assignments, and assessments are managed through a learning management system.
Classes are scheduled Monday-Thursday, between 8:30 AM - 9:30 PM.
Additional Responsibilities
Engage with students to foster a supportive and dynamic learning environment.
Prepare and deliver high-quality course content.
Provide timely feedback and assessments.
Perform additional duties as needed.
