Job Description and Duties

This position is eligible for telework up to three (3) days a week, in accordance with DGS’s Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office a minimum of two (2) days a week. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment. Flex hours are available.

Under the general supervision of an Accounting Administrator I, the Accounting Officer (Specialist) performs accounting duties of an average difficulty and provides financial services to assigned Contracted Fiscal Services (CFS) Client Agencies/DGS Program Offices including the proper recording, reconciliation, and reporting of accounting information and appropriations while maintaining the proper internal controls and requires an understanding of accounting process and the Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal) applications.
